Green Grass Lawn Care was founded in 1991 by Erik Sweetser with a passion to provide the highest quality lawn care services available in New Hampshire and the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Continuing education and employee retention are two key components that allow Erik to adhere to QUEST principles: “Quality Unsurpassed Every Single Time.”
This means that Green Grass Lawn Care technicians are fully trained in all areas of insect and disease management for both turf care and ornamental trees and shrubs. In the lawn care services industry, it’s pretty standard to have an applicator with only six weeks of training and certification. National companies care more about profit than product. It is an industry riddled with high turnover in low-professionalism. Erik built the QUEST principles into the foundation of Green Grass Lawn Care as a means of assurance to their clientele that their landscape will be in perfect health. The company has always competed on quality and not price.
As a result, many of Green Grass Lawn Care’s clientele have been with the company since the very beginning. Always ready to take on more clients, but unwilling to compromise on quality, Green Grass Lawn Care is a solid company positioned to be around for a long time.
About The Owner
From the very beginning, Erik Sweetser has always wanted to provide high-quality lawn care services. In 1989, he graduated UNH with a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Biology and started his own company in 1991. His passion for the industry continues and his reputation as a professional in the industry is well-known; as a mentor to landscapers and other lawn care providers, lecturing at Chambers of Commerce events, participating in ecological surveys and product research studies.
Aside from being an avid gardener and landscape professional, Erik’s passions include playing racquetball (Elite Division winner of the Boston Open), cycling around Maine and New Hampshire’s scenic roads, and hanging out with family and friends. Erik is also the proud owner of Dover, New Hampshire’s only 1-hole golf course!
