Why do we need to spray so often? There are literally millions of mosquitoes within an acre of land. Won’t a spray program for ticks also kill mosquitoes? Ticks are ticks, and mosquitoes are mosquitoes. Both have very different management programs. Although it is the same pyrethroid -based control, there are two factors that determine effectiveness in controlling ticks and mosquitoes: the delivery method of the material, and the habitat of the pest. For example, ticks are rarely found more than 3 feet above the ground and in turf grass. Mosquitoes rest in shady foliage areas, usually along tree lines and planting beds. We spray up to 19 feet into trees to control mosquitoes.
Isn’t a mosquito spraying service expensive?
