I love annuals plantings. Shopping for annuals always puts me in a great mood. You can mix and match colors, heights, flowering times. For special events you can match the flowers included to the theme of the event.
- Around my house I grow a lot of Marigolds, zinnias, coleus, lots of daisies, geraniums, violets, petunias, even flowering tobacco.
- At the edge of the putting green I have a bed full of begonias and marigolds. I even mix annuals into all my perennial beds to add some seasonal variation.
- In front of the house I ring the boxwoods with coleus for its deep burgundy color and front that with a row of yellow marigolds, and pinks. I also place unique flowers, annuals, or bulbs planted in a few select locations. Behind the bushes in front I grow cleomes.
